“The un-examined life is not worth living.” –Socrates
In considering an “I” , ponder these questions:
2 – What do I expect it to help me achieve in my life?
3 – What complaints, if any, am I experiencing with my eyes?
4 – When was the last time I had a thorough eye health exam including the use of eye drops to dilate my pupils by an optometrist or ophthalmologist?
5 – Have I experienced any past eye, head or body trama abuse or serious illness?
6 – What medications am I currently taking?
7 – What vitamins and other health & herbal supplements am I currently taking?
8 – Note the successes AND failures in life in which I have been unable to reach the goals that I have set for myself, knowing that I have the brains and abilities to do so—yet I have been unable to achieve them.
“As human beings, our greatness lies not so much
in our being able to remake our world
as in being able to remake ourselves.”
Ponder this concept:
When I say, ‘I can do it’, it is the E-Y-E that can do it.
When I say, “I can’t do it’ it is the E-Y-E that can’t do it.
As a brief overview:
9 – How was my parents relationship with each other and how did they each interact with me?
10 – Do I tend to hold my breath or find myself ‘mini-gasping’ and under what circumstances?
11 – Am I fearful of heights? Would I go to the edge of a cliff and look down without feeling uncomfortable?
14 – How do I experience driving? As a passenger do I find myself hitting the ‘imaginary’ brake? Do I notice myself getting nervous or tense?
15 – Can I read quickly, smoothly and efficiently without having to re-read what I have read? (especially textbook material)
16 – Does what I read hold my interest or does it seem boring? Do I enjoy reading or is it a chore to read?
17 – When I read aloud to others do the words go from the page to my eyes to my brain (understanding) and then to my mouth OR does it seem to go
from the page to my eyes to my mouth and I have to ‘work’ at trying to understand what I am reading?
18 – What qualities do you feel that you are missing that would enable you to be the kind of person that you really want to be?
“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution, the time will
come when medicine will organize into an undercover dictatorship.
Laws to restrict the art of healing to one class of men…
are un-American and despotic.”
